End of Season Schedule & Updates

  • Easter Sunday, March 27th Mighty Mite Training is CANCELED! With the U12/U14 State Championships being held at Hilltop on 3/26 & 3/27, Easter festivities for families, and finally the challenges of the mountain we have decided to cancel our normal training.  This will allow coaches and parents to focus on the U12/U14 State Championships.
  • Attendance has been updated on the website at http://alyeskamightymites.org/groups.html.  Please let us know if there are any corrections necessary for your athlete.
  • In preparation for our End-of-Year Banquet we have received 167 responses to our T-Shirt Size Survey.  If you have not responded as a Coach or Athlete please take a moment and respond to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MMbanquet .  We will order T-Shirts by this Thursday so please respond no later than Wednesday 3/23 to ensure an appropriate T-Shirt size.
  • Please note several coaches have reported athlete’s bindings not set appropriately and releasing early while skiing/racing. Additionally athlete’s skiing will improve with edge and base tuning this time of year.  Our local ski shops can provide this service if you need assistance.  Coaches cannot adjust athlete’s bindings due to liability.
  • April 2nd & 3rd is Mighty Mite Weekend. This normally includes two run races for athletes each day with a Slalom on Saturday and a GS on Sunday. Following the races on Saturday we normally hold a Siblings Race for any younger siblings of our families. Following the races on Sunday we normally hold our Parent’s Race where the athlete’s get to help put on the race and coach their parents.  On each day we offer a BBQ.  Given the challenges of the mountain we will be assessing our race venues and any adjustments necessary next week.  Please watch for updates via email, website update page and our remind me texts.  Thanks again for your patience!
